Ted’s selling this 3A that includes a winch, overdrive, and a bed extension.

“For sale is a 1951 CJ3A Willys Jeep. It has been re powered with a period correct Chevy 265 V8 which I believe to be a late 50s motor. Motor has been adapted to the original Jeep three speed transmission and model 18 transfer-case. Motor runs well but could use a tune up and original Rochester carb could use a rebuilding at some point. Choke is a little finicky and I dont think the older carbs gaskets agree with the new gas were burning. Jeep runs ,drives and stops. Shifts through all gears as it should.

Jeep is equipped with a Warn (I believe) overdrive and an overdrive adapter that allows you to also run a PTO while still retaining the overdrive unit. These overdrives were great factory approved options on the Willy’s Jeeps as they were mechanical and could be used in any gear while being in 2 or 4 wheel drive. The Willy’s is also equipped with a Ramsey front mounted PTO driven Winch which works as it should.

The Willys also has a rear bed extender which gives you a little extra room in back of Jeep for storage of tools , extra parts, wood or anything. The bed extender utilizes the original jeep tailgate which is in great condition. Frame is decent with no major issues, as is the original body. Its not perfect by no means but a great start for someone looking for a decent Willys Jeep to tinker with or restore. Would also be a great Wheeling or woods Jeep or a great addition to a hunting camp or lake or vacation house. With the Warn Overdrive and Adapter with front PTO winch option this is a great little Willys.

Brakes work as do all the lights. Could use some TLC but all in all a great start for someone. Too many projects going and my loss on this one will be someones gain . Almost forgot to mention Willys also comes with an original set of 3a top bows and a really cool older canvas soft top. The top is a little rough but has great patina and and would be a great pattern for a new one.

Top looks great on Jeep with back section removed and sides off, as seen in pics Also have the original CJ3A soft top dor frames and skins with it. Price is negotiable if someone wants it without bed extender or Overdrive and pto winch setup ,but to me thats what makes this one cool!!!! I do not have a title for this as you dont need one on older vehicles in CT , but I will include a CT bill of sale and an older registration as Jeep was reged in NY recently .
