Might have a military/forest service data plate.
“Mostly complete Jeep CJ 6. I believe its a 1961-1964. Has been sitting for many years (liscense plate is from 1975.)
Still has the original 4 cylinder and 4 speed. Jeep is a cj6 which means it has a longer wheelbase than a cj5, more comparible to a CJ8 Srambler. What you see is what you get. Jeep has been sitting in Western Kansas since bought at a Forestry / Military surplus auction many years ago.
I do not have a title but i do have a bill of sale from Kansas.
The Jeep is located at the north end of Colorado Springs and is for sale this weekend only. If not sold by Monday, my son is taking the jeep back home with him. Thanks for looking. ”
Definitely looks to be a forest service jeep. Has the data plate, warning sticker above that and a U.S.F.S. decal over on the driver side. He is a little off on his year. I’m guessing a ’67. No battery cover on cowl, vent on the valve cover and still flat top window. No snorkel cut out on the hood either. Looks to be pretty solid and the spare tire carrier is on that funky rear seat. The body extension seams are clearly visible. There is still a trim tag on the firewall, too. Never seen a rear bumper like that but it looks cool…I like it. If the floors are solid, this is a bargain!
Lots of value here. According to the ad, the Jeep isn’t available anymore. If it didn’t sell by Monday his son was taking it.
