Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
There are plenty of interesting, unusual, historic and surprising stories related to Jeeps and their owners. In addition, some of these features have nothing to do with jeeps. This link will display all featured stories starting from the latest.
Looking for parts and not sure where to go? There are a variety of large and small new and used parts sellers both online and offline.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

This Cj6 just sold on eBay for $6500 and was being sold and located outside of St Louis Missouri. I wonder what the deal is with? Can’t get it legal in Cali?
Well that is interesting. As I look closer at the pics, it looks more like Missouri than the California Coast. The lack of plates is curious as well. Buyers .. do some homework on this one.
Well the pics are definetly from Missouri. The new buyer is just RE-using the eBay auction pics that the Missouri seller had taken.
Doubt this is just a flipper because the original seller told me he wouldn’t go less than $8500 on it. I assume the new California buyer got it and realized it wasn’t his cup of tea and scary on the 401hwy and is trying to recoup his cost.
I have decided to keep it. The MO seller said it was restored. It’s in rough shape to say the least mechanically speaking. Was at crossroads. Sell? Or own a project I wasn’t expecting… I don’t know anything about these old jeeps. Zip. Guess it’s time to learn. I removed the clist add last night after I ordered a new carb, exhaust manifold, T90 and spicer rebuild kits……. Looks like the head gasket might be leaking… And the rear main seal leaks like a sieve…. Oh well. Wish me luck……
Hi Steve,
I’m sorry to hear the seller mis-represented the jeep. It’s not an unfamiliar tale. Sometimes sellers misrepresent what they have, while other times they are simply ignorant of what it means to be a restored (or original) jeep.
On the positive side, there’s a strong community and many websites available to learn about these old jeeps. If you have any specific questions, feel free to email me or contact one of the many boards (the http://www.earlycj5.com site might be your best bet).
The T-90 isn’t too difficult to rebuild https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72fqfC5EXE8
The Dana 18 takes a little more technique: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OocQ6EtB00g
The rear main seal is obviously more complicated.
Note that eBay does provide some buyer protection. In your case, it might be worth looking into: http://pages.motors.ebay.com/buy/howto/research-protection.html
Good luck!

I greatly appreciate the support! You may very well get an email from me! Wife wouldn’t let me sell it since technically it was my 40th bday gift to her! That’s right. To her. Thanks much!
Hate to see this guy got the shaft on ebay. CJ6 jeeps are awesome and it sucks that he feel he has to sell it. With that being said, his price is way too high. While these are rare, they are in now way impossible to find. 5k would be reasonable in my humble opinion.
I’ve got a 1964 CJ6 that I will be doing a lengthy Restomod on. I figure in total I’ll have in 20k in after some serious time and work – but I will have exactly what I’ve always wanted. It won’t be one of the 10 million JKs you see going down the road with all the bolt on stuff costing the owner like 70k to complete. Anyway, good luck to the seller and buyer. Like I said, 5k would be more realistic.
