I found this information inside a booklet produced by the Willys Export Corporation (circa 1957). I’ll share the rest of the book when I have time, but I really bought (from Canada off of eBay) the booklet for the Jeep Cargo Personnel Carrier info.

It looks like there is a near walk-thru to front seats in this model. I had assumed it was just a cut off top truck cab, cut somewhere near the bottom of the rear window.
Looking forward to more information. I have a pickup I have wanted to convert to one of these. Maybe just the challenge or maybe because my pickup roof has been played on by some kids too many times…………
There were three different windshield styles if I remember right. A cj2a type, a cj5 type which this is and another that was a solid windshield (did not fold down)
Any followup on the one you found being worked on in California?
