“Hi all, I bought a CJ2A a little while back that had a factory installed bed extension on it. I thought it was some aftermarket bubbafication but after looking into it, it is a real thing and people are always looking for these. Learn something everyday I guess.
I cut it off a mine a while back, but was careful not to screw it up. It has the tailgate, spare tire carrier, toolbox, and receiver hitch all there. Check out the pictures. It’s pretty dang heavy, not gonna lie. I included original photos of one’s with this extension on it, as well as a few from my jeep, and finally, ones of how it sits now.”
Looks like more than average extension. Maybe sold. Posting comes up deleted
I’ve never seen one quite like it either. I’ll be sharing at some point in the next couple of weeks an advertisement for a slide in bed extender from the 1960s that I also haven’t seen for sale.
