UPDATE: Price dropped to $2000.
This was the Ayers jeep called “Play Mate.” They were longtime members of the Wandering Willys Jeep Club. I rode in this once or twice as a young kid. It had the distinctive grille for as long as I can remember. Has full floating rears, which was fairly common among club members. I’d love to see this referred to its former self.

Looks like a good start. I don’t believe they made 3bs in 69. I think 66 was the latest and made for export only. Of course I could be wrong.
I was so tired last night I missed that minor detail. I’ll email Mike and get some more information. I suspect he bought it new so it is probably registered as a ’69. I believe there are some pictures of this from the 1970s in the club’s scrapbook, too.
Mike has a good story about how it was aquired and titled as a 69….I just can’t remember what it was. May have special ordered it minus the engine or something…
Pretty pricey
