“This is a 1954 CJ-3B with an F-134 Hurricane 4 cyl, T-90 Transmission and D18 Transfer case. Starts instantly. Runs, drives, shifts, and stops.
Frame:
Overall excellent. Some rust in spots but no rot or evidence of repair.
Body:
Looks good at a glance but does have a lot of patch panels and bondo. Depending on your plans the body is solid enough for a “driver” quality Jeep but beyond that it is questionable. This would be a good candidate for a new repo tub or better donor tub. My guess is the existing tub would be more effort that it is worth should you remove all the bondo, patches, and try to restore to original. Tough to tell for certain until you get into it though.
Engine:
F-134 that has been converted to 12V. It starts quickly, idles smooth, and runs strong. It seeps from all the typical spots and I have not gone through it.
Transmission and Transfer case:
Shifts as it should through all gears including 4WD Hi and Lo range.
Tires:
Worn 7.50-16 “Traction King”
Brakes:
Brakes do function but pedal is very soft. They should be gone through and checked.
Seats:
Nicely reupholstered and look very good.
Top:
KEMCO ALL STEEL CAB (Kelly Manufacturing). Some patching but pretty solid. Doors latch and plexi windows crank up and down as the should.
Overall:
This would be a great platform for a complete restore or to just drive as-is and tinker with. It is currently registered for the road in Maine and was driven regularly by the previous owner. I can’t say that I would recommend continuing to drive it on the road without a complete safety check and tune up but that’s just me.
Sold with Bill of Sale only. I am considering a trip to Pennsylvania in June and could possibly coordinate delivery along the way. I would much prefer buyer to arrange their own transport though.
Call/text/e-mail with questions. $3750 obo. May trade for 4WD tractor.”
Nice top. Good value there. The body has been messed with so much and doesn’t help the jeep that much.
This one is also from Ryan.
