UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $12,750.
Looks like a good rebuild. Includes a few extras.
“This is my Willys 47′ CJ2A. I found a new project Jeep that I want to restore so I’m putting her up for sale. New odometer reads miles since rebuild. I put a ton of hours into her. It was a farm Jeep originally then a car collector did a quick fix up on her. Body is solid. Only bondo was where they took off the spare tire holder to customize it a bit. The spare tire support in the wheel well was kept in tact. They changed her color to red. Under the gas tank and other concealed spots found her true gray color. Originally I was going to drive it “as is” but every pinion yoke leaked badly due to the leather seals that were still on her. Then I found the gas tank leaked as well as the radiator. The brakes needed new cylinders and the wiring was brittle. Transfer case we as ok but the transmission would kick out of second gear when down shifting. The “Go Devil” flat head motor ran ok but had the problematic cracks above and below the distributor. I can go on.
Now here’s what I did to her.
Bought a rebuild long block from Willys Overland in Ohio.
Built it up with :
a show quality rebuilt original carburetor
New water pump, fuel pump, starter, oil hoses, gas lines, new old stock distributor, plugs etc
New radiator and exhaust system
New clutch and pressure plate.
Rebuilt Transmission, Transfer case, and added a Saturn Overdrive
Replaced all axle pinions and new Universal’s
4 New Springs and hardware
Completely rebuilt brake system and lines including master cylinder, all new brake cylinders, and pads. Drums replaced with 3b drums so no special tools needed for pulling the drums. Original drums are also included.
Pedals and All springs for pedals and returns replaced.
New gear ring for motor as well as rebuilt starter.
Electrical wiring (retro fabric kit ), switches, lamps , gauges replaced as well as a new 12volt alternator. Original Generator included if you want.
New gas tank, sending unit, gauge and lines
New Heater and defroster as well as 12 volt wipers
Steering is rebuilt with new shaft, shaft tube, steering wheel seals and new Bellcrank.
5 new tires and rims ,shocks
New seats and a full bestop softop.
Tons of spare parts
I know I’m missing other items. 90% of the items were purchased through Walcks Jeep parts near Jim Thorpe. I have all receipts. And pics of everything I did . Firm on price.
Really like this one, nice clean job, love the red and gray.
Not sure he’s far off. This looks like a nice machine. I hope he gets every penny.

Hi Joe,
It looks like this one must have sold. I’ve updated the post. If I for some reason run across it again, I will drop you an email.
I did find this one nearby, but it’s not quite as nice and is more money: http://allentown.craigslist.org/cto/5750804709.html
