UPDATE: Cody found this US Jeepney link.
Steve wrote me about a wagon that he transformed into a Jeepney. I wrote him for more info and am waiting for additional details. If you live near Port Angeles, Washington, you might have seen his Jeepney.
BEFORE:
Must be awfully inconvenient to open the driver’s door, because you need to swing the spare out first!
I’d love to see more pics of this.
Unless you have been to the Philippines it may be hard to accept this transformation. But there, this is a cultural vehicle made with great care, lots of hand labor, a certain degree of uniqueness, and is otherwise quite common. But Ive never seen one outside of the P.I.
Lew,
Here’s a webpage dedicated to the Jeepney in America. http://usjeepney.com/usjeepneys.htm
Great link Cody. I don’t remember seeing that one.
Thanks Cody. I guess they’re starting to multiply here too.
Great way to cover up some rust holes…
