1944 GPW Chenango Forks, PA **SOLD**

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.

It didn’t last long.

“Selling my 1944 Ford GPW military jeep. It is in good condition – runs and drives, few cosmetic rust spots but metal is pretty good for most part. Several hundred dollars recently put into the jeep for tune-up and other odds and ends after a significant amount of time & money getting it running nearly ~15 years ago (new brakes, shocks, rubber, carb work, etc). Needs brake lines and fuel cell. Can be used as is for work or play, upgraded for a road worthy driver, or restored. $2500 OBO.”

You’re not kidding, Dave. Looks like it sold already! Posting deleted by author.
Looks like it was a great find… and probably a great story (Whiskey Spring Special???).
It would be great if an eWillys reader got this one and reported back to us on it 🙂

That wasn’t a bad deal. Does need some things but a lot of original parts are there that are usually missing.

The buyer might consider selling that blackout light guard on ebay. Anyone been watching what they have been selling for lately?

Original WW2 Jeep parts prices are climbing higher all the time.In the end I may be using some repop parts to redo mine.Or leave some of them off and wait to find originals that are affordable.

Gentlemen. The GPW is in the hands of a faithful EWillys reader. She is tucked away in my shop for the night. She’s a numbers matching (data plate, frame and engine) GPW with many many original parts. The combat rims, frame and underneath are pitted do to sitting on a dirt floor barn for the past 15 years, but I am more then pleased with what I have. Future plans are to clean her up, remove some of the non-original parts and get her running.

Thanks guys. This was the first time I actually had to pay more for something than the list price because the seller decided that he didn’t price it high enough. HA!
