(01/10/2016) This CJ-6 has had a variety of updates. I think it is still apart and not together as shown in the photo (seller includes other photos).

“Up for sale is my beloved project. All of the hard work has been done. Fabrication and 99% of the parts are there. Needs paint, reassembly, and a few other simple things. I just don’t have time and have 2 other Jeep projects and 15 other hobbies. So my CJ6 always takes a back burner. I’m looking for a buyer that will do this Jeep justice and finish it.

What’s been done so far.
• Mercedes 240D diesel engine is mated to an AX-5 trans and NP231 TC out of an 02 Wrangler TJ. All mounts and cross members are fabricated and ready.
• Ford 8.8 Rear axle with disk brakes and Jeep/Dana 35 Front axle with disk brakes swapped in with 4″ lift springs.
• Set up for 33″ tires.
• I have both manual and power steering so you choose.
• Set up for hanging clutch and brake peddles. I have the power brakes booster to match the peddle set.
• Too much other stuff to list.
• 95% stripped down in prep for paint.

What it is:

This is a rare CJ6. It’s 20″ longer than a CJ5 in the middle. This is actually made by Kaiser according to the VIN plate. I have all of the seats, and most importantly, a complete hardtop and hard doors. (Super rare)

Jeep is on non op with clean title. If you have the time to finish it, you’ll have a badass Jeep the gets in the high 20’s or low 30’s for MPG because of Mercedes super reliable and efficient diesel. I’m looking for cash but I would maybe trade for a running and driving CJ5, CJ7, YJ, or TJ with clean title, etc.”

Yes, still apart. Spoke with the guy. It needs some work (and a pile of $) to get going. I passed because I need something that goes vroom without using my Fred Flinstone feet.
