UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7000
This includes a parts FJ (not shown). It runs.
“A non-profit organization is selling a 1961 Jeep Fleetvan Mail Truck and a parts vehicle.
One runs, rebuilt engine just need some brake work.
Other one (not shown) is just for parts.
We are asking 7K Obo.
Very cool vehicle, parts, helps a non-profit, AND born in 1961: win-win-win-WIN! And price seems worth checking out 🙂
Good morning! My name is Julie and my son and I are looking for a van like this to start up our new Snow Cone business. I was wondering if it’s available and if so, do you have any more info about how it runs?
Thank you!
Julie
Julie you must click on the craigslist link and contact the owner.
Julie,
I’d guess that it will take some money to turn that FJ into a snow cone business. Maybe as a non-profit you can negotiate a better price (was probably donated to them).

Dave, Wondering what you think of this FJ-3 from the photos. I am going to try and see it next week if its not buried in snow. In any event I would expect it to need a frame off restoration to be a respectable and dependable daily driver. Guy
Guy,
If it spent its life in Fresno, the vehicle likely has little rust, so from a restoration stand point it could make a good project. I too would think it will need a full restoration to be a dependable driver. The rubber and glass look like they are in good shape. Also, two of these have sold for significant amounts, so I think doing a restoration isn’t a bad investment on these.
I think the 2 high-dollar sales were of heavily modified FJ’s. I am wanting to get and keep an FJ-3 in the original form. Biggest concern is rust to the body and frame. Will post on what I find, if I can get to see it.
