UPDATE: Still Available.
Runs and drives, but does need a little work.
“I have a 1950 jeep willys. It’s runs and drives but needs a lot of love. It has the original flathead 4 cylinder and a 3 speed transmission. It’s 4×4. Odometer ready 18000. I was driving it to work everyday but now the tfans mission is stuck in second and neutral. . The brakes need adjusted and it needs a brake light wired up. I have the 2 original front seats and the original bench seat for the rear. I also have a top for it that’s in good shape. The wheels that come with it are original I belive. It’s a pretty cool jeep. They don’t get much simpler than these. Clean and clear title ready to go. Price is 1500 obo. Don’t want to sell but I will if someone wants it. ”
More temptation: I don’t have a CJ-3A yet; I do have an extra T-90 transmission and T-case; and this even has the original carb (although it appears they’re not using the mechanical fuel pump… probably has an in-line electric one).
Seems like a good price for a running original with clean title AND A TOP!
Joe, I saw this listing and called my wife, it is only 4 miles from my house. My wife told me NO: 1)- I am only home two weeks every six months. 2)- I still have the 60 cj-6 to finish that has been in the garage for 2 years. 3)- The 59 CJ-5 is still sitting beside the CJ-6 with the transmission sitting on the floor for a clutch replacement…… Oh well, another one that got away… LOL :-
This seems like a good starter project?
Jim: LOL 🙂
Seth, GET THIS… I definitely would if I hadn’ already bought 4 just flat fender jeeps I saw on eWillys (thanks Dave!), 2 which I drive and work on and none which I regret… all good deals here in AZ.
I do, however, regret using up my wife’s once abundant patience on that lawn mower racing hobby when we still lived in NJ! With her still in my court this would be the 3rd Willys CJ-2/3 I’d have bought in the last 5 months alone (seriously), all which I’ve passed on ;-(
Definitely thinking about it! Just have to factor in shipping- I’m in East TX!
Do you still have the jeep and take less
Why no rear tail lights in the tub?
Is the jeep still available for sale?
Martin: It looks like it sold. I’ve updated the post.
Seth: Good question. Looks like the small holes for the lights in back have been filled in as well. Seems an odd thing to do.
