Let the “FRENZY” Begin…Insanity has no limits when it comes to DJ3A Surreys.
Cheap way to get into a surrey!
Cheap? I don’t think so, the lack of irrational enthusiasm proves it.
Maybe “cheap” isn’t the right word, but it is very difficult to find a solid surrey that doesn’t need tons of work at this price point. So, if a buyer wants a surrey with a known pedigree, this is a good option. On the other hand, Mike is right that buyers aren’t storming Riverside to get their hands on it at this price. Maybe the mud slides are keeping them at bay? lol.
Just as I suspected, need I say more? Sometimes Mike Finegan DOES KNOW what he’s talking about.
🙂 … All I KNOW for sure is that some days I’m more wrong than a broken clock.
Nah Dave. The optimist in me says you’d be right twice a day.
It’s easy to predict the outcome when there’s only two possible choices.
How hard are the tops to replicate? Isn’t the material difficult to find?
Dave, http://www.jeepsurreygala.com has an interesting article about replicating the fabric for the surrey top and seat covers. It’s titled Jeep surrey top pattern and seat covers.
Thanks Paul .. That’s Bruce Agan’s site and if anyone should know the answer, it would be him.
And my Surrey parts car has the hard to find or duplicate bows:

Glenn,
Good point! I’ve updated the ad and bumped it forward to the front page.

I don’t see any buyers.
See, and I think at $10,500 that’s a pretty good deal. Runs, drives, etc. make a top and bows, which are very close to 2A bows with minor mods, and you’d be in business for half what most surreys go for.
