It’s got a couple patches in the back of the body.
“Obviously, any 69 year old vehicle is a head-turner. This one does that and more. Your brain triggers, and suddenly your back in the armed forces or perhaps on your grandfathers farm. Or maybe your sitting in that sand pile with a toy jeep in one hand and GI Joe in the other.
I,ve owned this Willys for 4 years here in Massachusetts. I bought it in Georgia and had it shipped here. Its history starts from a Willys Jeep showroom in Chicago, to a farm outside the city. 1946 was the first year a civilian could purchase direct from a showroom, all before were strickly military vehicles. Available only thru military surplus outlets. From the Chicago farm it went to a “gentleman’s” farm in Georgia. This family used it for hunting deer and other animals for many years. Since bringing it here to Massachusetts, the first year, it was a daily driver to the coffee shop, then it sat as I was out of the country for 2 years. This past year, I’ve had the transmission, clutch and transfer case overhauled. I’m leaving again and want someone else to enjoy and love it as I’m not sure of when I may return.
Not shown in the pictures, but does come with it….side doors matching the roof and a “V” tow attachment for the front. Any normal pick-up can pull it with a normal trailer hitch.
Lots more to say, if your serious, email me your number for me to call or sit and write me what your concerns are.”
