The internet is moving at a snail’s pace for some reason this evening, so only a few updates tonight. We went to the movies and saw the Martian tonight. For some reason my wife and an ex-girlfriend of mine both think Matt Damon’s character reminds them of me? Maybe the just want to stick me on a planet far far away? Hmmmmmm.
Dave, they probably both think you are handsome enough to be a leading actor. Don’t forget that when you’re approached to turn one of your books into a Hollywood screenplay. Maybe you could play yourself in that movie.
I had a side job as an actor at one point. I made $1 a movie, for a total of $2! They were non speaking roles, so maybe that’s why Hollywood never came knocking on my door? If they only knew what they missed!!
My only brush with fame happened many years ago when the woman I was going out with was a model. Unfortunately she modeled clay.
Brushing with fame (or clay) leaves my teeth feeling dirty. That’s why I use toothpaste instead!
In the immortal words of Troy McClure (voiced by Phil Hartman), “you may remember me from” … in my case, you may remember me from specials on CNN, the Discovery Channel, National Geographic, and local channels 2 and 4 in Denver and Colorado Springs; I was also the Major walking out of Cheyenne Mountain as the hero’s vehicle drove in, in the made-for-TV movie “Asteroid”.
I got paid a whole $70 for that last gig… it was pretty fun. But Hollywood never called again [sigh].
Joe, I fell your pain. Though, you were raking in the big bucks compared to me! Sadly, I missed all your shows. I’m sure you taped them to share with family and friends???
