UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500.
Body needs work. Has newer motor.
“For sale, a 1947 Jeep cj2a with a steel half top, a tow bar on the front and a cj3b engine in it. I bought a new gas tank, a stock set of seats, had the starter rebuilt for it, with a new solenoid and put new oil pan and timing cover gaskets on. There’s some rust but I’ve seen worse, Body panels are available for what needs to be fixed. I have a clean title for it in my name.”
Doesn’t look like Albany, NY foliage. More likely Albany, Oregon near Corvallis.
Is that a PTO lever on the floor? Doesn’t look like an e-brake or overdrive.
Yep .. That was Oregon. Thanks!
Joe .. I think it is a PTO lever that has been bent for some reason.
I was curious as to know if the Jeep has an L-motor..(flat head)
Hi William,
If the engine is truly a CJ-3B engine, then it is an F-head. Also, the hood has what we call the “f-head bump”, suggesting it is an f-head.

PTO levers are sometimes bent like that if PTO is moved back with added length of Overdrive and Overdrive adapter, although doesn’t seem to be the case here as there’s no overdrive and PTO is in correct spot .Most of the time though just bent to get past a goofy bench seat someone put in jeep ,and still be able to engage PTO
