“1954 Willy’s CJ3B w/ 1984 Cherokee 2.5 In-Line 4 engine (only 5,000 miles on the engine). Runs great. Clean.
Includes many extras: full soft top with doors (only used for 5 months), bikini top, new tires, Warn overdrive, Ramsey Model 6000 Winch, Hi-Lift jack, shovel and axe kit, and more. . ..too many extras to list.”
I always wondered why more people didn’t swap in the fuel-injected Jeep 2.5L four cylinder to old Willys CJs, trucks, Jeepsters, and wagons, especially those with a dead or missing stock engine:
Pros:
*Low cost since so many people rip them out of Wranglers and Cherokees; you can also get them at CoPart yards all across the country
*Won’t overpower the rest of the drivetrain like a V8 could
Cons:
*Why go through all that work for modest power upgrades?
*Roasting the tires is fun
