UPDATE:  **SOLD** Was $12,000.

(04/25/2015) Can you blame the seller for pricing it at a value that someone appraised it at? Hard to figure out how an appraiser could have arrived at such a price.

“Full frame off restoration rebuilt motor new transmission rebuilt transfercase very clean appraised at 22,500 but will move a little with cash call or text for more info has a title”

22.5k? Seriously? I’ll be the first to admit I don’t know everything, but I dont recall big bad lime green being a factory color in ’46. That kind of money means only 2 things; that it is totally stock and correct or a great amount of quality modded work was done. Sorry, I see neither…maybe mid 20xxx on vin, though.

Hmmm. I agree toddy. That appraiser probably got it confused with some of the fancy wagons we’ve been seeing. Come on Todd, it’s the limited edition pasture green.

I’m just guessing here… but there are various types of appraisals. Maybe it was an insurance appraisal of “replacement” value? I.e. what it would cost to purchase something similar and exactly replicate this one, mod green paint and all. Would that cost $22k?

And stop smoking the pasture greens 🙂

If an insurance agent did the appraisal and is trying to boost the owner’s premiums, then that appraisal makes sense.
