UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5500.
Runs and drives.
“I have up for sale my 1947 Willys Jeep CJ2A. I love this car but I was thinking about letting her go. I’ve put a TON of work into this beauty. It has rust but it just makes it look beautiful! You could do the bodywork, or just drive her as she is! I have rebuilt the Carter carburetor, converted to 12v, resurfaced the gas tank, new tune up parts including a new distributor, put brand new 16r 32 BF Goodrich tires on all around, new rear brake shoes, new grey canvas seats, and also a conversion to a 1 wire alternator.
The car needs a few things though. The front left brake sticks a bit and the brakes are pretty spongy. Also the starter doesn’t want to disengage while the car is running (probably just an adjustment on the starter). The synchro is going out on 3rd gear so it grinds a bit going in but will drive in 3rd just fine. If you don’t gas while in 2nd gear with the clutch out it will slide out of gear but still drives in it. Also the radiator is leaky but I have a brand new aluminum radiator that is on order at a local shop.
This car also comes with a hard top and hard doors (driver window is broken but still there)
The winch on the front of the car is a badass original PTO driven winch. It is POWERFUL and could practically pull you up a telephone pole!
This car is a real head turner! Wherever you go people notice and wave! No shortage of jeep waves in this baby!
No scammers, no paypal, and no tire kickers.
I don’t really need to sell this car, just thinking about something different.
Asking $6000 but I’m open to offers as long as they are reasonable.
Send me an email and I’ll get back to you ASAP”
I like that top.
I think this looks like an honest little jeep in decent shape.
