Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
There are plenty of interesting, unusual, historic and surprising stories related to Jeeps and their owners. In addition, some of these features have nothing to do with jeeps. This link will display all featured stories starting from the latest.
Looking for parts and not sure where to go? There are a variety of large and small new and used parts sellers both online and offline.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

pics now on CL link. Appears to have an engine swap with hood cut, CJ3? windshield, later model grill? (aren’t the 46 turn lamps recessed?)
Note the lower middle part of the windshield. See how there are two brackets holding the cover onto the windshield? That’s a sign it is either an M-38 or a replacement windshield. The CJ-3A windshields do not have the brackets. Instead, they have hinges that allow the vent to be swung open. Some later CJ-3A replacement windshields do not have the vent at all. It’s just stamped like the right and left side.
I would agree that it probably has an engine swap.
The parking lights on the grille appear to be later and are covering the holes, so I couldn’t say for sure whether that’s an early grille or not.
This needs a closer look in order to identify whether it is a 2A or 3A in my opinion. One clue that it might be a 3A is that the dash seems to lack the holes for the ignition switch on the dash where the 2A is normally located.
Thanks Dave, I did not know about the windshield vent straps… my education continues, lol. The parking lights… recessed 45 into 46, then flush/surface mounted mid 46 on? Are the holes in the grill the same size (aka, can early or later lights be mounted in either grille?)
there seems to be a couple dash options for installing a “factory” stereo, though 😉

Yes, those dash options are decidedly aftermarket 🙂
The recessed CJ-2A lights existed through early 1947. (MB* style parking lamps with civilian front lenses up to # 97740 — http://www.thecj2apage.com/history.html )
No, the hole in the grill was replaced by an indent and a couple small holes.

I believe the late 2A and the 3A grilles look the same from in front. On the back, Willys changed the way the radiator was installed during production of the 3As, so the back of the grilles changed around serial number S#21656 (http://www.thecj2apage.com/forums/radiator-cj2a-vs-cj3a_topic6067.html).
Most importantly, thank you for taking the time 😉 It really helps. …and since you pointed out the straps on the windshield vent, I’m seeing them damn things everywhere, lol…but I’m SEEING them 😉
