UPDATE: Has been on and off eBay a few times. Not sure if still for sale or not.
Former Washington State Forest Service FC-170.
“1962 JEEP Forward Control 170 4-Wheel Drive Truck
This is a two owner vehicle, with the original owner being the Washington State Forest Service. The custom ordered a snorkel and air brakes when this vehicle was purchased new. It has the original wench in the front bumper along with the original 6 cylinder engine and 4 speed manual transmission. The engine turns over freely but I have not attempted to get it running. The body shows plenty of wear but is pretty straight for a 1962 work horse. The bed has surface rust but is very solid and not rusted thru anywhere on the bed. The drivers side running board is in the bed of the truck. There is a dent in each front bottom corner of cab as you can see in photos. Other than that it’s just typical wear and tear. scratches bumps and bruises.
The drivers side is missing the glass and the passenger side glass is cracked. It looks like the top of the cab or around the windshield is leaking somewhere and has rusted through the channel above the windshield as you can see in the photos. Also, the front passenger and drivers side floors have some rust thru on them. Those are the worst three areas of this vehicle and the rest of the cab is solid. Total production in 9 years was only 30,000 vehicles and nearly half of the 30,000 came out of just 2 years, being 1957 and 1960. So this is a pretty rare bird with a few really cool custom options. Clear title.”
Did this sell last year?
Mel. This sold and went to the east coast. Listed again a few months ago for sale for way more money. I think it’s here on ewillys.
