(10/17/2014) Runs and drives, but needs a little more work.
“I have a 49 Willys that runs and drives strong. Mostly original. I resurfaced the head rebuild the tranny. L134 with t90 and t18. Put 11″ disc breaks on the front Dana 25 and stock breaks on rear Dana 44. Axles out of a 63 jeep, regeard with 4.27 ring and pinions. Axles have been fully rebuild with new everything. New Solex carb. Compression on all cylinders in between 95 and 110. Great running little jeep. Upgraded steering box off 78 CJ5. 1″ super lift soft springs. I have a mostly finished military arctic top that’s been sanded down and sprayed with raptor liner. Just need some door and window seals. Has heater. Aluminum radiator. Top speed is 62 mph on down hills slope, does 55 on flat ground. Asking 8 but will consider reasonable offers.
Give me a call or text if interested..”
anyone know the
source for the air cleaner shown on this jeep ? thanks, craig
Craig, looks like original style horn that is normally found on there and maybe a K&N filter…jeep is in nice shape and the artic top is cool.
thanks Todd…i didn’t know they made one to fit the original horn, craig
That K&N idea is pretty cool… looks like a smaller one being used for crankcase ventilation, too. This also has the Solex carb. Overall a very nice, proper looking jeep… even with the quirky green accents!
