Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
There are plenty of interesting, unusual, historic and surprising stories related to Jeeps and their owners. In addition, some of these features have nothing to do with jeeps. This link will display all featured stories starting from the latest.
Looking for parts and not sure where to go? There are a variety of large and small new and used parts sellers both online and offline.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

A good time was had by all.
It was well worth the 5 hour drive from Little Rhody! As a newby M38A1 owner, I had a blast seeing the range of vehicles from very original, to pristine looking show vehicles. Picked up a few items at the swap too. The CJ2A PTO created ice cream was delicious!
Had a great time, although I had to leave very early due to a family commitment. It was an absolutely beautiful day. When I got home, I showed my wife the pics. She immediately asked of the “John’s Boatyard” wagon/truck door why didn’t I buy it!?! To be honest, I was intending to, but got involved in a conversation with the super nice owner of the FC150 parked nearly, and then walked in the wrong direction. Out of sight, out of mind… If it’s around next year, I’ll buy it then…
This is a very laid back “show”. In fact, I’d call it more of a “gathering”. I don’t think I saw a single person shooting “tire shine” onto their tires, or even wiping the dirt and grass off the fenders after their ride down the dirt/gravel road or across the field to their spot. Some vehicles were “rough and ready” and others very nicely restored examples. The most striking thing, I found, is the degree of acceptance (and actual enthusiasm) to modifications, sometimes outrageous, that owners have done to their vehicles.
Well worth the 1100 mile round trip from Maine. What a day!! Everything you could imagine related to Willys, be it stock, modified, military, or project pieces. We just can’t squeeze any more of our JEEP Sickness from an 8 hour FREE SHOW. Thanks to Seth, Bob W and all their crew / sponsors. Plan for 2016 !!
Was a good one. It’s the same time and has been the same place for a few years. I recommend putting it on the calendar for next year. I got a set of nice like new seat cushions/vinyl for my 46 restoration. Nothing like getting the cart before the horse, but it always say grab it when you see it.
This was my first time going and I was really impressed. It was about 1,100 miles round trip for me too and I’m glad I went.

Still on my bucket list, but it’s more like a 6000 miles round trip for me 🙂
was there a favorite jeep?
If you go to The CJ2A Page, the Best Original Willys trophy went to a 1941 Willys Pickup. Now, If you think about Willys Overland before WWII, their Dealer network, and the products to sell, this pickup gives you an idea of the company before the war. Just 4 years later the product line was completely different, and the Dealer Network was expanding daily. The changes at Willys Overland, their management, and all involved was overwhelming. We seldom see stock versions of the pre WWII products and this pickup was outstanding. It’s so special the attendees felt this truck deserved this honor, See P. 18. Only at The Great Willys Picnic can you see this before your eyes.

Favorite jeep: there was 2A with great patina (nearly red/white/blue) that looked very original on the outside, but had work done underneath. It was owned by a young man who said it came out of Arizona. If it were me, I would have clear coated it and left the paint alone…maybe he will too! It was the epitome of what a jeep is supposed to be!

Thanks all for coming and making it our best show ever! We had over 80 registered Willys vehicles as well as a few others that slipped in. While not a true surry the old lady who drove in the pink 3A was one of my favorites. She was a real firecracker! : ) I to love the variety from bone stock complete survivors to track ready racing jeeps and everything in between! Glad folks had I great time, I sure did but was so busy I didn’t even get a chance to take a single picture. Oh well at least I got to say some quick hellos and chat for a minute with lots of fantastic Willys people! If you didn’t make it this year put the 12th of June on your calender for 2016!
As always, a great show!
Thanks to Seth (& family) and Bob for a nice day.

Ec4wda had a race at the Adjacent Kempton Fairgrounds, many interesting jeeps run every year at Kempton. My uncle show his 2a every year at this show
Devin, I didn’t know that. So, the race was on the same day or over the same weekend? I need to get some pics of that next time! Thanks for the note,
