UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000
(12/16/2014) “This unit is good running condition. Currently used as a run about and hunting. Has Studebaker Champion 6 cylinder L head engine; full aluminum metal cab; 2 heaters. Includes spare transmission and transfer case and tow bar.”
Haven’t we seen this Stude Engine swap previously? Do I remember this was a “Bolt In” conversion? Should perk up that 0l’ CJ.
May as well get a 3B instead of that ugly nose!
Yup, that’s just a terrible job of making the grille taller. They extended the firewall up too…..give me the willies looking at it!
One not so good way to get a 3b out of a 2a. What looks better, hole in the hood, this mod, or different carb? Hmmmm….
Hey, fun fact, Lewistown is the exact center of Montana and this jeep is not pretty.
Aren’t those two fun facts?
Lots of CJ2 and 3As had Stude 6 engines transplanted. They were a good engine with 80hp and good torque, easily adapted to the Jeep transmission.
