Doug spotted this post.
“Two Jeep or Willys side shift transmission housings. One housing has both shift levers and both forks. The other is a bare case.Asking $50 for the case with forks and levers and $35 for the bare case. Also have to fit the side shift t90,one NOS shift lever #642898 and four NOS shift forks#640378.Lever or forks $15 each.Cash only call before 8 pm.No text.Thank you.”
Somebody, please help educate us. Were these used in the first CJ2A column shift models?
These are mine.I may be wrong, but I think these should work in any column shift,or remote control shift jeep that came with a t-90.As far as when these were actually built,I cannot answer that with the research that I have been able to do.If someone wants to help me identify when they were built,I will be glad to provide that information.
Just to clarify, these two transmission cases are for column shift with four wheel drive. The case for column shift with two wheel drive is different.
Doug
There is a casting date on the same side that the T 90 is cast on.
I have a complete T 90 side shift for a four wheel drive with a casting date 4-46
Roger,
one case has cast T90A-1 then on a small cast”plate” with a cast screw head on each end is A 22. below that is W.G.DIV. W4 . the other case has T90A-1 with W.G.DIV. W-1 below the t90.then above the shift levers it has a cast “plate” with the cast screw heads and on that is 8 10. Warner gear division is W.G. DIV ,but not sure the date codes what they mean.
Hi Doug . On the top of the case on the one corner of the machined surface there should be a date code stamped in example 1/10/45. Hope that helps.
Thanks Peter!
I took those numbers down as well,but I do not understand them.One is : F286 2 the other case is C? 124 2
actually I do have another side shift case that is not pictured that has casting with day/date/year on it.I believe it is a 47.
