Joe in Mesa shared these photos of a jeep he saw at the local Kmart Cruise Night. I really didn’t know there were any Kmarts left!
He writes, I spoke to the owner who told me the cab was 50(?) Willys, front grill from a different Willys, 55 Chevy front axle, and 55 Ford pickup bed. I like the military theme and the graphics, sayings, and stickers. Nice guy, too. I told him about eWillys.com and said I’d be sending you the pics and info. He suggested the pic of the interior since he still kept the original shift pattern sticker inside the glove box.
Joe is this a chevy II ? sure looks like one. They are a nice replacement for the F-head. I used the 225 V-6 engine mounts in my first one. And custom built a front mount for the desert racer. Should never sold the two motors I had. 🙂
I should have gotten a better pic of the engine, especially since the coolant overflow was a 40s or 50s Army canteen with canvas cover.
This defiantly one of the better rat rods I’ve seen. This guy had class. Yea that would have been great! Make me laugh just thinking about. Thanks for the pictures Joe. Kame-A-Part parking lot! lol
