Bikini top. As far as i know everything original. I still have all parts i took apart minus the shell. 3 speed high low I think.”

This is in my neck of the woods if anyone wants me to check it out for them. I might go look this weekend just as something to do. It appears to be converted to 12v and that actually looks like a 3A frame (hard to tell from the pictures). If the engine actually runs and they could prove it, it would be better to part this out. Around here that might get $1500-$1800 for everything. To take the whole thing as-is, maybe $1000-$1300 (even with the title).
I did take a look at this over the weekend. Apparently bought as a project two years ago but realized they were in over their heads. It’s a CJ3A chassis and engine (engine #3J83xxx). I’m guessing by that number and the Dana44 out back it’s most likely a ’51. It has been converted to 12v. It did run and they used to drive it about once a week until they decided to take it apart and begin the project in earnest. The frame appears straight and rust free. The springs appear to have been replaced at one point. It has the 3A windshield which is not in the pictures and has 12v wipers. The seats are either late 3B or early CJ5. The original gas tank is missing. As shown in the pictures it has the tailgate, hood and grill. The fuel pump has been replaced with a glass bowl type and the carb is a replacement Solex. I did see the title and it’s registered as a ’48 CJ2A with the number shown on the body tag. It’s not like state inspectors come and check this, so I would still consider it a legal titled vehicle.
All things considered, it would make a good start to someone’s project. I still stand by my estimate as to value given in the last comment. I didn’t make an offer, but it sounds as if they realize they may take a loss on this.
