The Kent State airport is hosting an aviation heritage day on Sept 19th and looking for WWII vehicles that want to come be a part of the day. It’s free and I assume the vehicles will be parked near the planes. They get a good crowd in for this and some great old planes.
I’ve displayed my 1942 GPW at two of these events here in Arizona this year and both were great! You also get the coolest pics of your vehicle(s), out on the tarmac, next to WWII aircraft. Kevin (or Bob) should contact their local chapter of the MVPA (Military Vehicle Preservation Association) to put the word out.
I am sending this to Brian Wolf from the Ohio chapter so they know about it, and putting the fliers into the goodie bags at the reunion.
It would be a convenient commute for me in my 1942 MB (1 mile), but since I’ll be in Texas on my way to Northrup Colorado that won’t work…
