Nice looking militarized CJ-2A. I’m not sure how the numbers and wheels can be ‘correct’.
“Take a look at this extremely nice Willys Jeep that I am listing for my father, He is reducing his collection of cars and reluctantly decided to sell his Jeep. Tons of money has been put into this Jeep over the past few years including new paint with correct letters and star on hood, new seats and military top including side curtains, new bar tires and correct wheels, shovel and gas cans. This CJ runs and drives great and shows very well, people love this thing and spend a lot of time checking it out when its shown. ”
wonder what the title says. Wait a minute…. did I just see carpet in there? What the heck. Toddy prep the wagon. This person needs a talking to. Looks to be a mix of parts. Civilian grill, m38 tub and windshield frame. Those wheels do look like the heavier m38 wheels. Hmmmmm…the carpet
That carpet does nothing but cause hate and discontent. Is that mirror correct there…
Hey Chris make sure they fill out the application for owning a Jeep. And I agree carpet in a jeep is sacralidge(incorrect spelling).
I don’t think it’s carpet. Looks like artificial turf… not that that is any better. No excuse.
Yeah, people spend a lot of time looking at it to see why the heck someone would put carpet in this jeep.
You might be right joe, looks like turf. Now I wonder which one would be better.
“numbers… ‘correct'”
Don in Missouri posted a link over on the Forward Forum to a tasty chunk of the Standard Catalog of US Military Vehicles (Second Edition).
Good information on properly recreating period military markings. I’ve seen plenty of examples of otherwise very nicely restored military vehicles with lame “mailbox address numbers” stuck on ’em.

Check out page 30 for one of the best pictures I’ve ever seem of a CJ-V35/U, with it’s drain holes running full bore!
If any of you guys are into bikes, have a look at what could be the coolest Indian motorcycle ever, an 841, that appears on page 17.
