UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $12,000.
“This Jeep has been in my family since it was bought new in 1953 and has never been out of Buncombe county. Used mostly around the farm, but has been babied its whole life. My parents had 5 Willys Jeeps around the farm and this was the one my mother had for “bad weather” but never really got used for much more than that. Has been kept inside its entire life and runs well. Transmission and transfer case shifts smoothly and the 4wd works as it should. I recently had it repainted and have put on all new brake shoes, wheel cylinders, brakes lines, and master cylinder. It has a new top, but it isn’t made for this exact model. It will keep you dry or out of the sun, but its just a little too wide for this model Jeep. If you have any questions or are interested in coming by to see it, “
still priced twice or three times what it is worth
Running, good body, probably good frame and in one family since new.
$4K would be on the low side. I would say $6-8K is fair.
Unfortunately, too much original lost for the price. Looks like a little sentimental value added in as well.
