UPDATE: **SOLD** Was No Price.
John just took in two jeeps as part of a trade in deal he made. He doesn’t have much use for the vehicles. One CJ-3A looks in great shape and was restored about 10 years ago. The original owner claimed everything worked. The other CJ-3A looks pretty good for a parts jeep.”
Good morning Dave Do you know if you can still buy the tires on this jeep? They work surprising quite well. Used these on my Bobcat. Chris the vin number on my 59 is ( 5734854739 ) No fresh air vent? Haven’t had time to really check things out. Now that I know a little more hope I don’t end disappointed. (might just have to make a mod out it!) lol. 🙂
Roy
I’ll have to look later, but I thought I’d seen someone producing a version of these. We are about to hit the road!!!

Thanks Dave have fun as always. 🙂
The pics are a little bit worthless. They can be better.
There is one more pics on the 3A website,
http://www.cj3apage.com/cgi-bin/3Ayabb26/YaBB.pl?num=1429881459/0#0
Look like it was advertised at 15500$ originally.
I’m still convinced that better pics would be a must for this sale.
Pascal,
You are correct about the original owner’s asking price of $15,500. However, throw that price out, because the dealer paid far less for it.
In my opinion that’s why this could be a real good deal. If this shows well in person, it could be a great find at an excellent price.

It’s what i was thinking. I do agree, might be a very good deal.
But again, the pics still bother me. Normally, the pics is always better then the real things but i hope here it’s not the case.
Fair enough 🙂
Hi Roy, your vin number is only 200 off of mine. Just encase you didn’t know what the numbers meant.First two digits 57 represent the Universal Jeep line. Third digit represents the body type (3. CJ-3B Open Body, 4. CJ-3B Stripped Chassis). Fourth number represents the engine type (4. 4 Cyl. 134 cu. in. F-head). Fifth number represents the drive (8. All 4WD).
The fresh air intake heaters are hard to find. They use the fresh hole on the passenger side on late model 3bs. There is a lever to switch to cab air as well. There is a hose that goes from the heater, through the factory knock out hole in the dash (left side of steering wheel) and to the defrost bar that mounts to windshield. Two speed motor. Mine works awesome. They add to the factory accessories. You should send some pics in of yours before you go and drop a v8 in, and put texas style seating in. 🙂
Hi Chris I’m getting more disappointed the more I learn. The jeep is buried in the back of my storage unit. 🙂 When I get the time to dig it out, now I know a little about stock jeeps do to a couple brothers 🙂 I’m kinda sure it doesn’t have a fresh air vent on the passenger side. But I noticed the hole in the fire wall on the drivers side. I thought what a weird spot for the heater. I was so excited to find a red 3b just like my 54 (age 17) Took the man word for it being almost stock. It looked stock. lol 🙂 Hope I’m over reacting! IF I go modified, it will be a V-6, T-15, and overdrive or a Chev 4 cylinder. Then I’ll have hunt for another 3b. lol I will add accessories include a huge armadillo bar and Texas hunting seats for sure. Thanks Chris for getting back to me.
Must be legal to have a loaded gun in Texas riding in a vehicle. Here it’s a big time ticket. I don’t even know if the 3b even has a heater! lol No rust or body damage, broken body mounts, or bondo. I was happy until I met the brothers on e-willys! lol 🙂
I read your post again. I swear mine has a hole in the firewall on the drivers side. I’m just going to have be patient until I dig it out. Todd save me 181 Merc Cruiser! Will fit right were the F-head was without mods. 🙂
Oh Roy, dig that puppy out. It can’t be that bad. Heaters were an add on feature and you don’t need them in the summer. Todd is on the hunt for one because his 3b didn’t come with one either. Can’t beat a good armadillo bar and texas high seats
