Glenn spotted this nice wagon. Seller is certain it’s the best anywhere.

That is one nice wagon. For those with extremely deep pockets.
It is a nice wagon, but I got holes in my pockets. Come on, 34 Grand; I want to cash in too, but I’m not going to rob people. ORIGINAL, original what? Original Paint, I don’t think so. Look at the reflection of the fender. A FACTORY FRESH Willys wagon in 1961 never looked that good.
This is one nice wagon. I have spent an absurd amount of time drooling over this. It looks legit and all but 35k? I’m going to stay positive for the seller and wait and see. I hope he gets it. Not many jeeps reach this kind of pricing status. A mint, low mileage, late wagoneer, an all original ’73 super jeep or a Hurst jeepster come to mind. Let’s see if the first, 4×4, all steel suv can haul in the big money…
I was offered $30,000 for my 62 wagon 2 years ago. Nearly sold it, but in the eleventh hour my son helped to decide to keep it since I was not desperate for money. Sure glad I did.
If this becomes another “RICH BOY TOY” we are ALL PRICED RIGHT OUT OF THE MARKET; and there goes our nice little hobby. As I look into my crystal ball, I can say, this wagon will not sell at this price. Lets get real here, FAIR MARKET VALUE, that’s what is important. This is not the price of oil, where speculators cash in. Lets not get carried away with $$$$$$ dancing in our heads. How many times I gota tell you guys, Greed is not good.
That’s so cool that jeeps are coming into their own on values, about time. All this means is I better get one quick! Thanks Don…maybe you can get Dave to post a pic of yours for us.
I hope the seller gets close to asking price… bodes well for those of us vintage 1961 babies (turning 54 this month)!
And so far the couple of jeeps each year that sell for this kind of money hasn’t raised the bar to where I can’t still find $600-$1600 projects and reasonably affordable parts.
I guess you guys got more play than I do. My 1962 wagon with 35,000 original miles, and I do mean original, I remember when it was NEW delivered to the dealer. Not for sale at any price. The day I die is the day I part company with My wagon.
I have 19 jeeps over the last 35 years 13 of which were Willys . The lowest I bought for $ 400 last May. Like anything else you can spend as much as you want . I have 3 now , currently working on a 62 pick up which I will have $6000 in and all the sweat equity. Remember something is only worth what one is willing to pay.
Mike, would you post some pics of yours so we can see what another in that condition looks like?
Thx
