This is an ex-fire jeep.
“This Jeep served as a fire engine for Elkridge Md in Howard County. Unfortunately it later spent too much time running the dunes on Assateague island. The body is shot, there is no motor. There is a T90 trans and Spicer 18 Transfer case. It has warn locking hubs on the front axle. I have a clear Pa title. I will also include a rough M38A1 that has a complete drive train including a running 134 F head engine.”
It has wonderful patina. Saying a cj6 tub is shot, is some mighty strong words
The running 134 F head engine from the M38A1 is worth the $500. And Chris is right. We’ve certainly seen tubs much more “shot” than this one offered as restorable. Definitely value here.
So dang far away…tub actually might be ok. I need a look.
New Freedom PA is a mere 35 minute drive from Hanson Mechanical in Westminster Maryland. I wonder if this is something the Hansons could use?
some jeep guy has to pick this up. Wonder what the m38a-1 looks like that comes with.
