Texted him about these. They are not in Astoria. They are in Toledo WA for now. Suppose to get back with me with photos.
Thanks Dennis. I thought you might find that ad interesting.
Another example of someone who has absolutely no clue how to chain a jeep down to a trailer.
the one jeep has a full floating rear diff and a non stock steering wheel. could it be a real early jeep with the Hudson steering conversion? hmmmm
The green one is a ’45 or early ’46…… Also has the early MB conversion windshield frame..
Keeps posting that they are in Astoria. I’ll give him a call later to see if he moved them yet.
Looked at these today also. Green one is a ’46, Vin # is 47,xxx. Body is rotted. Axles I believe were added later. Weird overload springs on the rear. Really butchered. Maybe good for parts. Maybe.
Orange one is in good shape. Has a reissued Vin #. Rear floor was raised and gas tank put under. Said he drove this onto the trailer.
They are located now in Knappa, just outside of Astoria.
Dennis, if those rear floating hubs are original, it could be a 1945 VEC (As Michael pointed out). Thanks for the update!
Full floating rear axles were used up to roughly Serial # 13,5xx. The green Jeeps Serial # is 47,xxx
