UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1250.
This runs. It is listed as a 1946, but looks like a 1948 Lefty to me.
“Forsale 1946 cj2a . Runs an drives no brakes needs mastercylinder . Just dont have the time to restore it. Original color was blue. Has new gas tank an fuel pump . Runs strong no smoke”
What is a “Lefty”? I’ve never heard that term before.
It’s a good question:
Lots of Lefty questions and research here — http://www.thecj2apage.com/forums/calling-all-leftys_topic16021_page1.html –
For a short period of time, March, 3rd through April,14th of 1948, the factory switched the normal location of the spare tire mount to the driver-side which in turn necessitated the bow pockets to be moved to the passenger-side.
The serial number range was serial # range of 176,061 through 185,769 … though there were some exceptions.
