Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
There are plenty of interesting, unusual, historic and surprising stories related to Jeeps and their owners. In addition, some of these features have nothing to do with jeeps. This link will display all featured stories starting from the latest.
Looking for parts and not sure where to go? There are a variety of large and small new and used parts sellers both online and offline.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

I apologize that its not a time lapse video of me rebuilding my F4-134 Hurricane engine. YouTube did not have enough disk drive space to accommodate a long 28 years and counting video.
By the way, do we call a vehicle powerplant a “motor” or an “engine” ?
No need to apologize. I know you will post a time lapse video of Willys engines in the near future.
(pressure’s on. lol.)
Since most Willys I see are re-powered, and most of those are re-powered with a SBC, this video is very appropriate. Thanks for finding it.
[btw: I found a great U-tube video on how to adjust the F and L head valves. My little Willys runs like a champ now. I have an F-6-161 that has been at the machine shop for way too long. I’m thinking about bringing it home and learning how to assemble it myself. It can’t be that hard, just follow the instructions…]
Motor vs. Engine: We just watched a video of an engine being rebuilt. A starter is a motor.
An engine uses internal energy (fuel) to create power.
A motor uses external energy (electricity) to create power.
**Steve E.**
Aaaahaaa! Makes sense. One would not say “The starter engine on my diesel motor went bad.” But “The starter motor on my diesel engine went bad.” sounds right.
To be sure, I checked with my wife, she knows everything. She says in a car, its called an “engine”. For a boat with with external powerplants, she says “outboard motor”. With inside powerplants, she says they are “engines” since they are in the engine room.
