Seems a good price.
“Selling a 1965 Willys Wagon, I know what your thinking (you idiot) Willys Wagon were discontinued in 1964, which is true. But they had left over parts and a few were built in 65.
Has original 6 cylinder, over head cam, Tornado engine. Mostly original except front hubs (have the
original ones) and the seat covers. Was running when I parked it several years ago. Was going to
restore it but….things change. Was going to ask 4000.00 and settle for 3000.00 but lets cut to the
chase, it’s $3000.00 period.”
This is a nice wagon. I believe this is another example of willys retitling left over vehicles from one year to the next that didn’t sell, real common back then. It looks like the owner somehow installed hall style tailights over the factory ones. Pretty much the one I’ve been looking for…
Those hall lights look chromed like for a tux
WOW! This has to be one of the last square wagons. Would love to see the S/N. What a nice start. look at that rear tailgate hinge. We sure don’t get ’em like that here in the East.
The tail lights are correct and original for a late 64 or 65 Wagon. Very rare to find one with these tail lights and amber parking lights.
Geography time again Folks (Dave). Ridgefield is in Washington just north of Vancouver.
Rudy’s right… those taillights are rare.
I love this ad. Wish I could by the seller a beer and have other CL ads be written similar.
Why the need to call the reader an idiot? If you are trying to sell something, why alienate possible buyers? The guy sounds like a jerk.
Oh, I read the ad as if he was making fun of himself as a seller for listing the wagon as ’65.
I agree Scramboleer, I read that ad to mean that the seller was hearing the reader calling him an idiot for listing a Willys as a ’65 model, when Kaiser took over in ’63. But I did have to read it twice to understand it.
I will be traveling to that area in two more weeks, and I haven’t been able to see that beauty in 3D yet. For anyone else that was interested, the seller told me that this ’65 Willys Wagon just sold.
