UPDATE: Eric shared some additional photos. They are located at the end of the post.
Eric Jarvis is learning that it is difficult to own just one jeep! He started with a 1964 CJ-5 like his grandfather used to own. Eric spent many years working on the red jeep until he got it just the way he wanted it. You can see the dedication on the glove box to his grandfather, Harlan.
The green next to it is a 1967 CJ-5 with a Buick V-6 Eric uses around the shop. It sports a Koenig PTO winch on the front. He also just picked up a Monroe 3 Point Hitch from Ted Jordan he will install in the rear.
The 1943 GPW shown below was a jeep Eric purchased from Don Prine three years ago. He even got a chance to fly to the northwest and see Don’s jeep collection, a memory I’m sure he’ll cherish.
Finally, Eric recently purchased this CJ-5 with a trencher. It’s a retirement project that I suspect will keep him busy for a few years.

Below are additional photos of the CJ-5’s engine:
Eric,very nice jeeps!!!!Great work! 🙂
I know how addicting these jeeps get. It can never be just one. Before you know it, you have several jeeps and a whole rack of parts. Then it turns into researching everything there is to know and spending hours on the phone with your brother discussing the differences in fenders.
Nice collection Eric and nice shop. Love the advertising and the visible gas pump.
Nice job. Great collection. Keep up the good work…

Eric, Very very nice CJ-5. Can we see some pics under the hood? GK
Nice jeeps, does the red jeep have a later model grill or just newer lights installed. I wonder if the later model grill can be installed easily without a lot of modification. I think there might be radiator mounting issues.
Eric, I meant the red CJ-5 for more pics. Thanks, GK
Having a GPW once owned by Don Prine is better than having a Cadillac once owned by Elvis.
**Steve E.**
Steve, I would have to agree fully 🙂
What a great workshop! I’m jealous of that and his collection of jeeps.
Hey Eric ,Ted here . Nice to see the pics of your jeeps and shop finally . I can see that the Monroe is going to a great home ,not that I had any doubts after all our conversations .The Monroe and your brothers winch will be leaving Fastenal Tuesday or Wednesday night finally .After talking to you about your trip out to see Don Prine and finding out you were able to get one of his prized incredible collection I am still in awe and would have to concur with Steve E and his comment!!!The article on Don in JP is still one of my favorites and his collection of cool and rare Willys stuff is unsurpassed .God bless Don and all his years of Jeeping and my hats off to you for being able to go meet the man. Talk to you soon
Ted
