This method of transporting wounded is recommended for short distances. Physicians and first aid men serving in the United States Army must carry the fight on disease and wounded not only in hospitals, laboratories, dressing stations and test tubes set on the front under enemy fire. Trainees at the school learn to succor the wounded and fallen through actual field work under simulated conditions they would see in battle.
