UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
The motor runs.
“This 1958 Willy’s Jeep FC-150 is mostly complete. It runs and drives his but needs brake work to be finished.
The Good….
This jeep is complete and running
I recently had the starter motor rebuilt
The engine runs smooth with no smoke (I was told by the former owner that the engine has been recently rebuilt).
The Gas Tank is there and appears to be restorable
the cab floors are rusty but no big holes
All the glass is there, Windshield is in good (not great) condition
A plow ( not in working condition is included in the sale)
The engine cover is there and in good shape
The pickup box is all there, but would need to be completely restored.
I have a clear Michigan title (that matches the VIN Plate) in my name
The Bad…
I rescued this Jeep from a farmers field and it look like it has spent a long time outside
The engine is currently running from a marine fuel tank that in the bed of the pickup
The gas pedal & linkage are not original, but it works
The brakes do not work (there are lots of new parts but not working yet!)
Door Glass is cracked on both sides
There are no cab corners left and there’s lots of rust on both the frame and the body
The interior has lots of peeling paint and needs to be stripped and painted.
There are seats included but I don’t believe their original
The Bottom Line…
This is a project, if you have looked around at FC’s you probably have seen some that have no engine or drivetrain in this price range.
If you are restoring an FC and have been looking at the prices of parts here or elsewhere, you know that I could easily part this out for more than my asking price.
Heck, I was offered a bunch of $$ just for the Michigan Title and the vin plate, but I would like to see this go to someone who is interested in restoring it.
I am selling because I need the space in the garage before the next big snowstorm.
The jeep is located just off I-75 in Auburn Hills Michigan.
I have this for sale locally, so this listing may be ended at any time.”
