“1952 Willy’s Jeep Forest fire truck;
This is a unique fire truck in that it is a Willy’s Jeep AND easily fits in your garage! Former military unit (ex Marines, I believe). Runs and drives great- needs some TLC for the true Willy’s Jeep detail. It appears to be “shop built” either by military or a fire dept. as a fire pumper, but used a “Barton” front mount 500 gpm conversion kit of the day. The side compartments are ex-ammo boxes!
Everything works including the pump! I’ve replaced all wheels and tires with correct military look, replaced most of the drive train gaskets (still a little leakage). Known issues are: Electrical- though everything works, the wiring is haphazard and included is a full new wiring harness unit (value appx. $400), Could use valve adjustment, could use a carb rebuild, though again,, starts and runs fine, just doesn’t idle smooth. Small chip in right windshield, but is OK. Windshield weatherstrip could be replaced. Engine and Drivetrain are excellent, but some leakage (old gaskets). Upholstery is only couple years old. Minimal, if any, rust on this truck.
Repainted to “red” (it was an orange, and at some point, yellow- which says it may have been on an aircraft carrier?) Exterior paint is excellent, with Vinyl covered gold leaf lettering.
Plumbing on pump to tank is disconnected, but fire pump works and hold water.

I’m selling due to collection too big for storage area available, though truck is still stored inside.”
