UPDATE: **SOLD**
This former PNW jeep was still in good shape last March. Unfortunately, someone crashed this into a tree. Looks like there’s value in tires, rims and the Parkette body.
“Parting or Repair 1954 Willys jeep that had a 450hp small block Chev till it hit a tree. I bought it this way to make into a 2wd street rod but have 2 many projects now and want to sell it whole or part it out. what you see is what you get. have small block headers that go with it if it sells whole.”
=====================
What it looked like prior to being wrecked.
(12/10/2011) This sure looks like a Pacific Northwest Racing Jeep. In fact, it appears the middle rollcage loop as a small holder for a team relay flag, so I’m pretty sure this was built and raced in the northwest. It has reversed front springs, a wide rear axle with outboarded rear springs, Desert Dog tires, and a Parkette fiberglass body. I’m guessing the frame is either a custom frame or a later model CJ-5 frame. It looks like it has a quick release steering wheel, too (which explains why the wheel isn’t visible in the picture).
That has to be a racer from Washington. The number on the side is a region 2 comp number. The first number is the region and then the last 3 are anything.
Good point. Thanks Marty.
Someone must’ve been flying to do that kind of damage!
Thats sad to see 🙁 I wish it was closer to Washington.
marty i think it was ron mcdonalds old racer
Carl, I’m pretty sure its not. His was on a half ton Chevrolet chassis. And I think he killed his on a tree in Looking glass.
Does anyone know if this Jeep is still For Sale ? I have Family not to far from there …
Lee,
I haven’t seen this relisted in a while. I expect it sold. If I see it again, I’ll drop you an email.

i see it on web is it still available.
I just sent Lee A Facebook message about this.
I know a reader who is visiting Minnesota (and I think is still there). It’s just an idea, and I don’t know if he has a trailer with him or note, but maybe he could haul it west if someone out here bought it.
Looked up this ad after reading the history article of parkette bodies this morning on ewillys. I bought this from the guy in Hugo. Still sitting in my back yard as I bought it. Believe it’s a cj5 frame with narrow track waggy 44’s.
Dave,
If you ever want to sell it I might be interested in it. I could work with Chris Mckay to get it back to Washington.

May consider selling or preferably trading for something from out there. Would also consider doing the hauling and making a trip out of it. Wife and I haven’t been west of mid Montana. Always wanted to see Idaho.
Let me know what you’d be interested in. eMail me at d@ewillys.com. If I don’t have it, I may be able to find it. I was planning on selling the 1956 DJ-3A that needs the body restored and seats rebuilt. I’ve gathered, cleaned and painted most of the other parts. It lacks a running engine, but it does have the original stock engine that needs boring and rebuilding.
