“i have had the willys for a year or so. i was going to build a wheeler from and use the title and body for no smog purposes but after I took the body off I realized it was in damn good shape. I already have a cj7 so I figured i’d finish the restomod the previous owners started and sell it. it has passed many hands until mine, I would believe its been a garage kept project. i saw zero significant rust, and the frame was straight.

at this point every nut and bolt i have pulled has been wire wheeled, primed, and painted. if it didnt fit on the bench grinder it was wire wheeled by drill. i have gone through many many cans of brake cleaner and several wire wheels so far just knocking 60+years of dust and whatever off before priming and painting. i saw no need for por-15 or some such epoxy. all the metal shows typical wear and a true lack of rust beyond the surface. it would make a great platform for your build, parade runner, cruise night ride, heck teach the kids to drive on your property. they will never forget that!

any rate its all here. i will continue to dress it up. you can see in the pictures its in progress but you get an idea of where im at with it. you can take it and finish to your liking for my price or will keep at it as i see fit and raise price as progress is made. we had it driving awhile back before I took the body off.

225 buick engine. I’ve had it partially apart and no sludge or wear. I haven’t rebuilt it so I wont say it was but it sure looks it. carb is in good shape. I did replace the water pump, fuel pump, fan, and timing cover. engine has been painted.

painless wiring kit installed.

sm465 tranny. what it had was shot out. it was replaced with a rebuilt one and painted.

dana20 transfer. looked fine inside, fresh paint.

dana 30 rear and 27 front. both looked fine. rear has been painted at this point.

32 inch Goodrich all terrains. don’t appear to have seen the road but are older. rims are ugly, I am painting them.

hydro bake and clutch installed by me. springs and steering aren’t stock but I couldn’t tell you what they are from.

fiberglass body in red.

theres more to it but you need to see it really. I will continue to dress it up, continue to replace or refinish whats needed. Text, Call or email if you have any questions or would like more pictures.”
