This 1974 poster is one I haven’t seen available very often.

“For your consideration is an original rare vintage American Motors Jeep Parts Division Model Chart. The heavy stock paper chart shows pictures and identification features of all Jeep models from 1941 through 1974. The charts were designed to hang in a Jeep dealerships parts department for reference. It measures approx. 45″ wide, and 35″ tall. The chart is rolled and free of any rips, tears, stains, or pin/tack holes. The exposed edge has normal wear from age, handling and storage, but nothing that detracts from its appearance or functionality.”

That’s an impressive poster I’d love to have, but they omitted (or I can’t find) the model numbers. Reading the top row, I didn’t see “MB”, “M38”, “M38A1”, “CJ2A”, etc. in the descriptions of those models. Am I missing something?

I think the emphasis was put into mfg years versus parts catalog instead of models. None has the model defined.

I have one one similar ( approx 30″ x 24) put out by Acme Truck Parts(who sold Jeep bodies and tops) in Carson California in 1974, that shows the same information on each Jeep model to include model number and year manufactured along with distinguishing characteristics. It begins with the MB and goes through the 1974 J-10 and J-20 Trucks. The only difference I can see is the location of the VJ Jeepsters and the C-101 4WD Jeepsters being switched. Mine has the VJ Jeepster behind the C-101 models. Other than that, they are the same. I have had this hanging on the wall in my garage since at least 1980, not in as good condition as this one probably.

As the owner of a 1952 M-38 I’ve always wondered why the M-38 information states it was manufactured from 1950 to 1951 and that it had no tailgate.
