RARE—-Last of the flat fender jeeps, designed for Korea, and only approx. 45,000 made
This jeep is one of the nicest and best recondition M38’s available—- it is 99 % rebuilt to its original specks. It was a two year project done by a professional mechanic with 37 years in the military. He personally worked on or supervised the operation of these jeeps and others in the motor pool from 1952-1969 and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer.
–Complete body off restoration–100 % rust free
–Every nut & bolt removed–sand blasted, primed with red oxide & painted. Then put back in its proper place
–Complete new wiring with Army spec era connectors & wire
–Every seal, gasket and bearings replaced (over $1000 dollars just for these parts)
–New brakes-lines, master cylinder, shoes and wheel cylinders
–24 volt system
— Olive drab paint-semi gloss-era correct & new proper decals
–Every component that was removable was rebuilt i.e. Starter, distributor, water pump, carburetor, windshield motors, etc.
