UPDATE: This is a CJ-5 listed as a CJ-3B. See reader comments below concerning this jeep.
“This a great deal for a very nice jeep. It is mainly all original and in great shape. Especially for being 58 years old. The body has very little rust and no dents or dings. It has been very well kept with only 21,965 miles on it. Please text or email your questions. More pics available upon request. Thanks and God Bless!”
kind of gold color. not a cj3b, not sure what it is
looks like a cj5.
guy bought it 3 weeks ago, doesn’t know much about it. said title has matching numbers and is listed as a cj3b. so it is a cj3b title and frame with a cj5 body.
Bob, do you see pic(s)? I just looked at the ad and still can’t see the pics?

I talked to the guy. He didn’t offer to send any pictures. He said it had an oil leak at the rear main seal and that it was running hot. He was going to try a thermostat then a new water pump. He also volunteered that the interior was “rhino-lined”. It just didn’t sound “right” to me. Richard
richard;
he didn’t tell me any of those things. he said it was 100 original except the seats. my guess is he has the wrong title even if the numbers do match up. it is NOT a 3b.
Thanks for letting me know. I’ve updated the post and added a pic. Given the battery box lid and what appears to be reversed front shackles, this could well be a 1955 CJ-5. However, it doesn’t explain why the seller had it listed under the wrong model.
If the person doesn’t know the difference between models well enough to get that correct, then he’d hardly be able to determine if the vehicle was stock or not.
If the title and vin plate don’t start out with 57548 (1955 cj5) and aren’t between 10001 and 27006, then something’s at least slightly amiss.
If the title and vin plate begin with 57348 (1955 cj3b), then parts and or title have definitely been changed/altered.

Driver’s side floorboards look like they’ve been replaced with diamond plate, the front fenders have been cut and the seam between the body and the fenders is covered over. This Jeep looks like one to stay away from.
alaska paul;
when i first saw this picture i didn’t know exactly what it was. didn’t notice the fenders were cut and or that the seam was covered over. it just didn’t quite look right. thanks for pointing out.
