“My uncle owned this Jeep for about 10 years and used it once a year to go from Payette to his cabin out of Council hunting. He then bought a Bronco and parked the Jeep. I bought it from him about 1978 and used it for hunting for about 6 years. Then I bought a pick up. When I got the Jeep I put new tie-rod ends in it and ball joints. It had some broken teeth on the ring gear so I pulled the motor and pressed on a new ring gear. While I had the motor out I went ahead and put in a new clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing. I had got this done and was starting to hook up the clutch and adjust it when I had to go to work out of the area for a few years. I parked the Jeep with the idea that I would get back to it but never have. For a number of years I would pull the plugs and put oil in the cylinder and turn it over at least once a year but have not done that for a several years. I have lost the only key I had so I put some oil in the cylinders and jumped the starter and it turn over good a couple weeks ago but have not started it. It all original except it is now 12 volts instead of 6 and someone has replace the tail gate with a solid piece of metal.”
