UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3900.
Don noted that this was for sale in March and included a plow. The plow has been removed and now the jeep is up for sale again.
This has a newer motor. It runs and drives.
“1953 Willys Jeep CJ3B Has 2.3L Ford 4cyl engine swap. Well done swap, runs smooth and is very reliable. Has new plugs, wires, air and oil filters. Engine is mated to the stock 3spd manual tranny and transfer case. Power steering was added as well as a tilt steering column. 4wd works very well and has brand new lockouts.
The entire frame has been boxed and is extremely solid. Entire chassis was painted when disassembled. Has new front and rear leafsprings and hardware. This Jeep is very tight and goes down the road straight. Tires are in excellent shape.
All the gauges work as well as the high/low beam headlights and rear turn signals/brake lights. Has a functioning heater as well as a working windshield wiper
Has a brand new gas tank and driver and passenger lowback buckets seats are in good condition. I put burlap bags on the seats for something fun. (You could take them off) There is no back seat. The interior is really clean. Front seats have seat belts.
Has a Koenig hardtop and doors, that can be removed. hardtop is in good shape, doors align and function/latch properly.
The body is about what you can expect for a 60+yr old Jeep. Some rust and lots of patina. (No mud which is good) It was painted black a couple times during the course of its life, and there is a hint of turqoise in some spots. (Guessing that was original color)
The majority of the tub is solid, the floorpans have been patched, but feel solid and there are some rust holes by the drainage holes at the bottom of the doors, but that’s pretty common. Aside from that, tub is really solid. The sides of the front fenders have a fair amount of rust but work and they fit the patina of the rest of the jeep. Tailgate is solid and functions.
This is a great old Jeep that wont let you down. Everything works and is well maintained! Perfect for cruising the backroads, or take the body off and restore to show condition. Only reason we are selling is to buy a hotrod car to fit the whole family. Has a clean title and license plates”
Do you still have this jeep for sale?
Hi John,
I suspect this sold. I haven’t seen it relisted. If it does get relisted, I’ll let you know.
