UPDATE: **SOLD** Was 10000
(05/14/2014) It’s a project.
“1951 CJ3a needs to go. I no longer have time to complete the project due to other family obligations.
Asking $1000 as I have at least that much just in new parts.
What I have:
1951 CJ3a – Serial number 451-GB1-29540. Build #19540 out of 44,158 units built that year.
NO TITLE. I checked with the Ga DOT and due to the age and state of repair, it can be re-titled with just a Bill of Sale.
Engine is early ’50s Willys ‘Hurricane’ truck engine. The engine runs well. However, due to its’ current state it is not connected/wired and running at this time.
Body is in very rough condition.
Other parts:
parking brake
new brake drums (not installed)
both driver and passenger seat frames
Generator tested and works
What’s new:
Carburetor – Holley 1904 single barrel. This is not original to the engine, but allows the taller Hurricane engine to fit under the 3a hood.
Distributor points
Spark plugs
Solenoid
Battery
Fuel pump
Master brake cylinder
Wheel brake cylinders
Brake shoes/springs
Front and rear leaf springs
Shock absorbers
Muffler
What I have done:
First thing done was to repair engine with listed parts and get it running. (again currently not assembled to run)
Shifted thru gears to confirm both clutch and transmission worked (they do)
Installed the new parts listed above (except front leaf springs).
Cleaned/painted rear frame and differential.
Cut off ‘bubba-fied’ rear bumper.
Cleaned differential interior and added new fluid”
I believe that is located in Roswell, Georgia, not Roswell, NM.
Yep, Georgia… unfortunately there goes my theory that Aliens abducted the rest of this jeep 😉
Yep. My bad. Maybe Aliens got confused as well and landed in Roswell, Georgia?
Dave, Please post more deals like this. It makes my jeep project look much better!
Guy . . . I’ll do my best! 🙂
